Topic: Graphic Card problem or Monitor?   Go to last post

Is this a recent development, or has it been going on for awhile? Have you loaded or deleted any software before this happened?

Give this a try. Delete the nVidia drivers, reboot, download the latest drivers and reboot again. See if that helps the situation.

Just a bit late on this, but don't be afraid of Biostar. I've built many econo boxes with Biostar using both Intel and AMD platforms. Only one failure in several years using them. Not the flashiest board out, but basic functionality works fine. Manuals lack a bit though.

Got a few free minutes and thought I'd pop in to say...well Howdy.

Not much has changed. Still puttin' in 14 hour days at work. Doesn't leave much time to do much but eat and sleep. Glad to see some of the old timers are still around.

Yep, still runnin' the same ol' rig. I really need to do some serious upgrades.

What kind of noises are you hearing? What drive do you have? Since you say it states "loading files" I assume you have BIOS set to first boot device as CD-ROM, second as HDD. Make sure your HDD is set to HDD0 not 1 or 2, etc. Again I'm assuming it's an IDE drive and not SATA.

It could be something as simple as a bad drive. Do you have another optical drive to swap it with?

Dump thE Q-Tech. Go with a Thermaltake 450 watt PSU. Best bang for the buck right now. Also download speed fan and check your temps. Then run memtest and see if you get any RAM errors.
