I agree with MADSKILLZ. This technology really is amazing, but can seem scary because of all the media we have seen over the years. This article i posted shows just some of the positive things that may and can come from the synapse concept. It's really cool!

That seems like a pretty cool phone actually. I personally loved my flip phones and think something like that would be awesome if it comes with all of the capabilities and features of the modern smart phones! Especially if it is affordable which i will go ahead and assume it will be.

Topic: AMD FX-8150 8-Core Processor Review: Bulldozer Has Landed   Go to last post

I bought this processor as an upgrade from my FX-8120. I bought it from newegg with the LC as a bundle. For 190 a CPU and upgraded cooler from my stock was nice. After selling the 8120 i only really paid about 80 for the new cpu and cooler. So far i haven't had any problems with it. The performance isn't top of the line, but it definitely is great for multi-tasking. The heat generation from this this really is quite high. I wish that it was a little bit more efficient on power in turn making less heat. The ability to OC the FX series has been made quite easy with AMD overdrive. Without changing any kind of voltage i've been able to OC the 8150 to 4.4ghz and keep it stable at about 60-65C with the LC. I have yet to experiment much with changing the voltage. I'm sure i would be able to OC closer to 5 ghz with more experimenting. Overall the price/performance ratio is great in my opinion. Intel continues to outdo AMD on the strict processing side and speed, but like a bunch of other comments state they are much more expensive.

Yeah, i pretty much agree with everyone else. This would be awesome if not for the price. A non OCed CPU at ghz would be awesome! I hop the rumors are true, but i also hope the price is lower than the rumor states.

I've been using a 7970 for quite some time and haven't had any problems with it. Also being able to run any game i want on Maximum settings is nice. Also the driver/software included makes it super easy for beginners to OC their cards if they are ever want to. I have a number of friends who also use AMD cards and haven't had any problems. Maybe you just had a bad experience.

Yeah. I'll go ahead and assume something like this won't be available sub $3000 seeing that that the old Mac pro was already 2200 or 2300 i think to begin with. I think the design is pretty sleek though. I've never been a Mac guy just because of the prices, but lately ive noticed that higher end laptops are only a little bit cheaper than the "equivilent" Mac. Pc for life for sure though! I hope there are some really cool new PC hardware components coming out soon. Anyone have any new gadgets/tech they know about that has just been released or is coming out soon??

True. The new Mac pro coming out soon hasnt released a price, but the tech in that so far from what ive seen is beyond anything in pcs. Which 1. your paying more for Mac and 2. you will be paying more for the tech by itself. Ill take a look at some of those sites. The main reason i went through the dell site was because of my universities discount. We get a larger % off because my university buys all of their pcs from Dell. Also the fact that i was able to get $1000 worth of financing.

Fair enough. When is the level of tech being released by Mac going to be in pcs though. That kind of hardware would be amazing. Personally also if i was going to get a laptop that is for editing i dont know if i would actually use a Mac. I know they are fantastic but for my personal preference i would probably just get a SUPER high end PC vs spending the equivalent on a less speced Mac book or something. To each his own i suppose. My brother just bought a Macbook pro, manually installed an SSD and has the i5 3rd gen cpu and 8gb of ram. He only really put in about 1100 because of his school discount. Which in reality isnt all that bad for a Mac. I recently purchased the new model of alienware the M14. After it arrived with a defect though i was fairly upset. When i first purchased it it took like 3-4 weeks to arrive and then comes with a defect. I thought the Alienware name was better than that. Overall performance though is great. I do wish i would have gotten an SSD for it though. That is the only upgrade i will be making when i get my new one for free.
