seems to be too good to be true. Unless they want to to take Nvidia by surprise. If this is true, I can see AMD enlarge its hold on the market. Highly unlikely, but again, if they are desperate enough they might do this.

Yes for the most part it is true. The i7 has more hyperthreads. Chances are that these wont be used in 99% of the games out there. Unless you are doing video, the advantage of owning and i7 is not much.
