Didn't they rename the Barts PRO to a 6850 and the Barts XT to a 6870?
Nice. Have you decided on the other components yet?
Thanks! :). Lets see how those 460 will handle them when they get here :).
They will handle them pretty well as long as you don't set the graphics to very high. I have a pair of 460s overclocked to 850mhz core and they still choke when playing Metro 2033 at very high settings.
Another person here who doesn't use Facebook/Twitter so I'm gonna be passing this up. Good luck to everyone who's entered in this contest.
[quote user="manoy385"]add a side fan to intake cool air to the video cards
The CoolerMaster Storm Sniper Case has three 200MM cooling fans in it. One is in front for intake, One is on the top for exhaust, and the third is on the side panel drawing air in.
I added an extra fan to the other side of the radiator, so now it's in a push/pull configuration. This case will cool his configuration with ease.
I have no doubt the Storm Sniper will cool his system with ease. The reason I recommended the HAF 922 and the CM690 II is because they provide similar or better airflow than the Storm Sniper at a lower cost. The HAF 922 has basically the same fan configuration as the Storm Sniper but is $50 cheaper. The CM 690 II Basic is half the price of the Storm Sniper and has the capacity to hold 10 fans. The money you save can be better spent towards a better cpu heatsink or a bunch of fans.
Mano, about the v6, what do you mean if i want to stick with cooler master? the v8 is from them as well. Is the V6GT better then the v8???
I meant that if you want to stick with a Cooler Master heatsink you should go with the V6 GT. You can also take a look at the Corsair H50/H70 or the Noctua NH-D14. And yes the V6 GT is better than the V8. It even beats the Megahalems which is miles ahead of the V8. I think even Cooler Master's Hyper 212+ beats the V8 which can be had for around $20.
Also, be sure to put 1 slot spacing between your GTX 460s and add a side fan to intake cool air to the video cards. Otherwise, the top card may get too hot especially if you're stress testing your overclock with Furmark.
Don't get a V8, Inspector. Get the V6 GT if you want to stick with Cooler Master. As for the case, if you want something smaller and cheaper go with a CM 690 II Advanced (Basic if you don't need a hotswap drive bay) or a HAF 922. If you want a full tower, the HAF 932 though a bit old now is still a good alternative to the HAF X.
Looks like I'm a little late on the news. Congrats to everyone who won and thanks to HH and MSI for all these amazing contests.
How's your new rig going jturnbull65? I hope you win a Metro 2033 so we can see how well it performs with eyefinity. [:P]
