Topic: Where has 'InstallShield' come from?   Go to last post
Posted: Wednesday, July 15, 2009 5:28:51 AM(UTC)

I just went to a site to lookup the location of an IP address that viewed my website and the site wanted me to download free software that hides your IP address. I clicked Cancel as I wasn't interested but now I notice I have InstallShield on my PC.

Is this linked or just a coincidence?

I googled InstallShield and it doesn't seem sinister but I was unimpressed that it downloaded itself and isn't listed in Add/Remove programs.

It also messed my System Tray icons up, that show without having to click on the 'Show Hidden Icons' arrow. My Antivirus doesn't show automatically anymore.

Where did InstallShield come from?

Should I delete it ?

And why does it install itself so sneakily?

Topic: Google Chrome printing problems...   Go to last post

Anyone got any problems printing in Google Chrome?

All I get when I print, is the header, the bloody annoying(and unwanted) ads, but not the body text.

Example: I tried to print out a chat session tonight from Gmail, and all I got was 12 pages of header and footer text, with no chat text, even though the text shows in the window, and also on the web-mail "Chats" folder.

I can print it out by logging into gmail using IE - I guess it(IE) does still have it's uses...
