Topic: TAC Bulletproof Car CEO So Confident In Product He Let’s Employee Rip It Up With An AK47 While He’s   Go to last post

Let us say that a bullet had got through and killed Mr Kimball. What would the status of that hapless employee have been when the police came 'round to investigate the death ? Would he be charged with murder or manslaughter (hardly involuntary) ? Would «my boss told me to do it» be accepted as a defence plea ? This stunt, if not faked, was completely irresponsible - who would want to purchase an armoured car from someone with so poor judgement ?...

«After the Snowden revelations, the NSA and other government intelligence gathering operations have often been painted as unilateral bad guys, but it's important to distinguish between spying on US citizens who have done nothing wrong and are not under suspicion of any crimes and helping to secure US infrastructure from the eyes of foreign governments.» Mutatis mutandis, Joel, Russian spying on foreign operations to secure Russian infrastructure «from the prying eyes of foreign governments» - guess whom ! - must, by your logic, be legitimate. Or do you believe that the US government is permitted - by divine imprimatur, perhaps ? - to do that which is not allowed to any other government ? We foreigners have some difficulty accepting the proposition that, qua foreigners, we are legitimate targets of the US government's and its many spy agencies' intrusive curiosity....

By all means report on cyber espionage, which concerns us all, residents of the US or not, but remember that your political views are hardly universally entertained and of decidedly less interest to readers....

On the other hand, a security-conscious person might wonder if hardware which specifically targets this segment of the population might not have an NSA implant built in.... [;)]

Just looking at it gets my builder's fingers a-itching ! Alas, the components are going to be so dear that rather than build, I'm going to have to use cortisone spray to get that itch under control.... [:(]

Isn't it about time that a «take-down notice» was issued for the RIAA (and the MPAA, while we're at it) ?...

To my mind, Woz is entirely right and Bill «backdoor» Gates entirely wrong here ; we all owe Mr Snowden a debt of gratitude for revealing the never-ending and all-encompassing snooping carried out by the NSA and its partners in crime all over the world in such a manner that the news could not be buried, as such revelations had been before. Kudos !...

Well, given the precarious financial position in which Google finds itself, and its exemplary services to agencies of the US government - think NSA and the State Department, and no doubt others of which we presently are unaware - perhaps the corporation does indeed deserve to fuel its corporate jets at a subsidy from US taxpayers....
