I recently just lost a ton of my equipment to a power surge and both of my 22" monitors happened to be included in the lot (along with just about everything else elctrical...) so I had to replace them. I opted for two Hannspree SL231 23" 1920x1080 monitors and wow! Just the one looks awesome but there's a problem. My computer seems not to be picking up the second one. It reads that there is a second monitor but instead of saying SL231 like the working monitor it just says Generic Non PnP Monitor and nothing shows up the second monitor. I've tested the ports on my GPU out and it's really quite odd. Port 1 works (it's a gtx 260 192 core btw) and when I plug the first monitor into it everything is fine. If I plug both in then the first works and the other doesn't. Now here's where it gets really screwy: the second montior plugged into the first port of the GPU is read as the SECOND monitor without the first one even being plugged in! Wtf?! Any ideas??? Hopefully I just need a clean windows install...
I'm looking for a new home theatre system but all the ones that I've looked at so far don't have the kind of subwoofer port I need. Currently, my subwoofers are wired and not powered meaning that it uses just speaker wire to go from the speakers to the receiver in stead of like some plug going to the woofer and also into the wall. Might there be an adapter I can get to allow the usage of wired subwoofers with a powered subwoofer styled reciever?
When I type in certain fields, specifically those that are a part of my OS (Win7) i.e. search fields and many programs, my cursor, instead of being the nice thing thing, is this honking box that looks absolutely ridiculous... If someone could please tell me how to turn that off that'd be great :)
So I've had this awesome pair of Sennheiser HD280s for over a year now and I'm still using my Po[censored]ard sound... Needless to say it sounds worse than a 7 year old trying to sing karoke on crack. In anycase, I've been looking at soundcards and asking for pointers and such so I figured why not come here! Ya'll tend to know your stuff ;). I've been looking at the HT Omega Striker for a little while but at $90 it's a little expensive and I'm concerned that just for music listening it migh tbe a little over kill (I'll have a link for it at the bottom..)
Needless to say I'm like most guys and I love my bass. Nay, I'm enfatuated with my bass. I can't get enough of it. People tell me that Skullcandy Ink'd's (<-- Contraction nightmare!) sound like balls - I say BAH! The bass is so in your face and unbalanced that they say it sounds terrible, I say I love bass... lol
Needless babbling aside, I'm looking for something preferably below $90 that'll make me want to glue my headphones to my head and never leave my PC. ;)

I've been using a Linksys WRT110 for about three months now. It has been kicking me off of the internet (I'ma wired connection) and my friend (On the wireless) seems to have endless connection issues. Usually he'll be online and just get kicked off, the signal will be really low (We live in a manuafactured home who's walls are about as thing as cardboard) and then other times it will be really high... What kind of trouble shooting steps can I take here?
Saweeeeeeeeeet. Hopefully a Fatal1ty will go on sale or something for Black Friday. Who know's what I'll really end up getting ;)
So I've recently developed an obsession for audio quality that I've determined is not going to go away! I've got Sennheiser HD280s that sound worse than some $20 Skullcandy's on my PoS MP3 Player because my PC's sound card is garbage. I was looking at the HT Omega Striker for an upgrade but I was wondering if there was a cheaper option you guys might know of that I could go with?
Let's hope that someone has a little bit easier way of doing that, lol. I'll do that if that if no one does though.
It's a Nextar brand, def not the best lol.
I recently used my MP3 Player as a USB Drive to store about 1 gig of pictures and videos I had on my PC in order to format and it and put a fresh install of Vista on my rig. To my dismay however, whenever I plug my MP3 player into my PC, it sees it as an audio player with space taken up, but no viewable files. I noticed that on my last install of Vista my PC saw it as a "USA Mass Storage Drive" and not an "Audio Player" as it does now. I can still look at the pics/vids/docs in my MP3 player, I just need to get them of off there, lol. But the question is how... Thanks!
