I guess my main concern is performance. Will a quad core 6600 perform the same if not better then a dual core 6600? or worse?
OK, but you would suggest getting a quad-core?
Hrmm ... Dual-core E6600 or quad-core Q6600? If I had to choose...
Hey guys,

So I'm not sure where to go with my new processor choice. I'm torn between a E6600, Q6600, or E6700. The E6600 is the cheapest by far, the E6700 is 2nd expensive, dual core but faster, and the Q6600 is the most expensive BUT its quad-core.

Is a quad-core processor a smarter investment for the future? or will the performance really be better for now with a dual core? I probably will not over-clock or if i do, only do a modest OC so that isn't really an issue. I want to buy the processor that will perform the best and last the longest.

Also, will a Thermalright 120 ultra fit in a Lian Li PC-V1100 or PC-V1000 Case? what about a Skythe Infinity or Ninja? Zalman 9700? Thanks guys.
