Pitfall for the Atari 2600.
Just purchased Wolfenstein II with the season pass on sale on Steam for half off. Played the demo and enjoyed it enough to spend the 40 bucks. I'm an average skill level at best and have rarely ever gotten all the achievements for games, but got all 50 for New Order and Old blood and hope to get all 50 for this as well. I'm also playing the new DLC for TitanQuest and it's fantastic. Great to see a classic game that's over a decade old get new content in 2017.

A few others I'm playing, but that are temporarily on the back burner till I finish Wolfenstein are: Killer is Dead and Brutal Legend that I got free from Humble store and A Hat in Time which is an outstanding and gorgeous platformer that gives me the opportunity to break out my rarely used Logitech 710 controller.

Last games I completed: The Evil Within 2 and after that, Divinity: Original Sin 2, literally 1 of the best games I've ever played and a true masterpiece!

Turns out the issue is on their end and they will be addressing it shortly with another update.
The first thing I do after installing all my drivers on a new build/install, is run windows update a couple times to make sure I get absolutely every update.

Did that and all installed fine except 1. KB3038314 failed to install. Looks as though this update is brand new and was published just a couple days ago so I may be jumping the gun here. Tried to install it manually and it says it is not compatible with my version of windows which is currently 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Any feedback is always appreciated and thanks in advance.

First of all, thank you to everyone who commented and gave feedback. I hadn't visited the forum in years, but just as I remember from years ago, there are always people willing to help and it's very appreciated.

I decided against an entirely new build for a number of reasons and instead went for an upgrade. Upgraded my measly 4gb of ram to 16gb of crucial ballistix sport 1600 2x8gb sticks and a Samsung EVO 850 500gb Dave suggested. Had some hiccups with my Win 7 installation, but mostly got them sorted and have just 1 small issue to sort out which I'll post a new topic for.

Many thanks again and hopefully I can post a pic or 2 of my ancient, but now upgraded rig very soon. 😛

Thanks for the replies and input so far guys! I have a bit of time I think, but will opt to buy and begin building within the next 2 weeks or less. Any more feedback is definitely welcome and I will be looking in to all the options mentioned.

Haven't been here in ages, but my current rig is about 4 years old and on the verge of biting the dust me thinks. Haven't stayed up to date with any tech and have basically been using this on the basis of 'till the wheels fall off'.

My current specs are i72600k, 4gb ddr3 1333, asus p8p67 board, gtx 470 1gb and 650w psu.

Thinking I might as well do a completely new build, but will probably keep the gfx card since I'm not really a gamer anymore and it still works.

Never had an AMD cpu, but am not against the idea if the price is right. Overall an upgrade would be great, but something at least comparable to these specs would suffice since my funds are limited.

Looking to spend anywhere from 600-1k, with the sweet spot being around 7/8. Will probably just keep the copy of Windows 7 I have unless someone can make a compelling argument for an upgrade on that too since as I said, I'm waaaaay outta the loop and I haven't read up on any of it.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me!

At this point I won't hold my breath anymore. When and if it ever gets released I'll wanna play it, but for now outta sight outta mind. Interesting device is interesting, but sounds destined to fail based on the stark divide between console gamers and PC gamers that this intended device would try to bridge.

Impressive proof of concept, but I'm skeptical that portable hardcore HD gaming will be ready for primetime anytime soon.
