I have been doing a lot of day dreaming lately on what my ideal gaming rig would be, so I'll start off.

1. It would have to be a really stylish case like a Cuboid

2. Best PSU available like Corsair

3. The processor would be the most powerful AMD has to offer

4. It would be maxed out with the fastest DDR Memory available

5. Best graphics card out there currently like a 980

6. Best Cooling solution might be water cooler

7. Fastest highest capacity SSD available not sure what brand

8. ROG monitors

9. Xbox 1 Elite controllers, because if you gotta game you should have the best!

10. Best Steering Wheel Controller available

11. Occulus Rift for VR gaming.

So how about you guys what would your dream gaming rig build be? smile

IDK, something with a 980, but your dream PC sounds freakishly similar to the one HH is giving away rn xD

Well believe it or not, I was already thinking about something along those lines before I found out about the giveaway, it's just a coincidence :)

Mostly free is pretty ideal for me too. wink But on topic, I want something 100% (or as close as possible) silent. That's why I dream of a mineral oil submersion build, but instead of a homemade fish aquarium build, I'd want something that looked professional and maybe had mechanical or projected fishies swimming around in it.

Have you watched this: https://www.youtube.com/...uTyVqLN5OSZxn3Z4t1_xFunu ?

It is highly impractical but cool :P

Sounds like an interesting read with a few pictures, but I'm not sure I'd watch it for an hour and half. Water cooling if it actually uses water scares me. If I'm going to put liquid near my hardware it needs to have low conductivity.

Unless it was directed by Christopher Nolan, it still looks too long. wink

Not to change the subject, but so far the only mishap I have heard with water cooling is not adding liquid and it caused the whole rig to overheat and catch fire, what I would like to know is how much danger is there in the risk of liquid destroying the equipment like the motherboard and power supply which I would have to think is a very serious fire hazard.

If water leaks on your equipment while it's running, it should short it out. Not sure how much of a fire hazard it is, but I'd be wary of losing my equipment.

I would think if it shorts out but doesn't spread then not much of a fire hazard then, but still it's a loss of equipment and who wants that!

fire hazard? no. Your pc will shut down before it catches fire... there are safety features built in to prevent a complete meltdown of the cpu.

Dream pc?

i7 6700K for sure (until we see what AMD releases with the new FX and ZEN)

motherboard, MSI Z170A GAMING M9 ACK

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Riing RGB 360 (I like the fans! lol)

32GB (4x8gb) Avexir Raiden Red

HyperX Savage 960GB

WD Black 2TB

XFX R9 Fury

MSI 980 Ti (yes both)

XFX 1250w pro PSU

That build... without case is roughly $3,000 lol

as far as the OP and the giveaway... those pcs arent remotely close ;)
