Not sure where to start this topic but, I was wondering if any of you out there are using a R9 380X. I just ordered one and I looking for people who have one and can give me your opinion on the card. I've read a lot of other websites for reviews and watched videos but most of them are from mid 2015. Anyone have this card and want to share your experience with the card. I bought the XFX 4G version of the card and it's the first of what I hope to be many upgrades for me this year since all of my rig is from around the 2010 era ;)

for the price range its really very good... as long as you arent trying to game in 4k (of course - even a 980 Ti can barely crank out acceptable fps in 4k) - you will be very happy!

Enjoy!

So far so good. I love this card. Playing ARK on high settings at around 40 fps give or take 2 or 3 fps depending on the situation. I'm not really worried about the 4k res as of yet. I think it will be awhile for me personally before I even care about 4k res gaming unless it becomes the standard which I think is still a few years away.

I can't speak for the Asus Strix card but im very satisfied with the XFX version of the card. I've played Ark and Paragon so far on the card and with auto fan it hasen't broken 65c yet. It's is also a very quiet card. I ran it up to 70% fan before I could even notice the sound of the fans on the card.

8/10 Card in my opinion so far.

Do you have your settings to high, medium or low though?

Everything is on high except Shadows. It's just habit for me to turn shadows off on Radeon cards.

You'd probs have better results if you mix medium and high :P

i love XFX and have been using their cards for years with zero issues. Plus they are great to deal with if you do have an issue!

DONT BUY POWERCOLOR CARDS. Guessing of course that you didnt my friends PC has an R9 270x which is pretty good so you should be better off. The card is similar/equivalent to a GTX 960 in gaming performance and they cost about the same. You should have a nice experience if you are running a 1080p monitor on medium or high settings depending on how many FPS you would like. If you are playing the latest and greatest games you will be happy.
