Nah, just my nickname for the end of MS support for Windows XP.
The tech would be so outdated it would be pointless xD
What sorts of things do you think XP would fail on?
Speed and security?
XP is a little under optimized, but it's not too bad for general computing. I figured you might be thinking of features like universal apps or connectivity or even SSD awareness and tweaks like it that could be provided by 3rd party utilites.
Even in it's current aggressively unsupported form (with MS, developers and news outlets all actively trying to scare people away), there are still 10% of desktop users on XP. Mac and linux combined have less desktop market share than that. If real support was still alive, that might 20%. It's a very capable OS for lots of ordinary general computing tasks and I see no reason, other than security which security updates could provide, that wouldn't continue to be the case.
And talking about them phasing out does sound awful
The world has to go around somehow :/
I agree in principle that it would be best if the world both continued to spin and circumnavigate the sun, but I fail to see the connection between that and the passing of elderly.
