JJr mentioned removing the GTX980 and i provided the solution :-) you can put any video card you want into this thing...
It is still there, go look :D
No need to imagine! A Titan X is the card they used in that article! :-P
You guys do see the link i posted right? :-/
Triple checked! Not there! neener neener neener!
"With this though, it makes the laptop less portable. My question is,"Can a user detach the water cooling block and return to a normal heat-sink or something of the like so the heat is dispersed naturally?" This would create a pivotal addition to the laptop scene. We will have to see eh?"
Overkill? Naaaahhhhh it's just right muahahaha
my bad. i see the link now. lol. its a decent solution. but with not all the situations.
I meant on the portability spectrum of your comment :P
Well the water cooling system in the first post is intended to be detachable. While in use, you can't go anywhere... the whole purpose of using it is to get extra performance, but you get more bang for your buck out of a good graphics card than overclocking your cpu and mobile gpu... which is why I offered the alienware solution as an alternative. You will get better performance out of it.
I am assuming it will be alright, as it is made to do this job, we will see :P
