Just excited.. over the past 6 months I have entered tons of contests and won either stuff for a pc, or stuff I could sell (like a Logitech folio keyboard)

Hey, You can get bad boy Intel i7 4970K. (4 GHz and turbo at 4.40 GHz with unlocked muilt. It is best choice to buy. Way Cheap than Intel I7 4960X. . I think it will be perfect CPU for your new build.

too much $$.. saved $100 plus... ordered an i5 4670K - coming next week

I did look at Intel i5 4670K (3.4 GHz turbo at 3.90 GHz) on Newegg.com that you wrote on your post and it look good to me. Best deal for you. It will be good for few years while you save extra money to up grade to Intel i7 in future. Sorry if i offer my idea about Intel i7 4xxx Series. Now I can  see why you go with Intel i5 CPu for cheap price. Now you will have better game PC over your old Intel Core Duo. Hope your new rig will boot up first boot up with out any problems and have a fun with your new rig.
