Also got another corsair force 3 60gb ssd as a gift, so i set up my drives in raid 0.

Did the RAID setup make it noticeably faster?

Not sure how reliable this program is but i used parkdale to test my ssd speed and it said 850MB as my read speed and 825 as my write speed. Although i didnt test the drives before i set up the raid they are rated at 525MB read and 490 write.

EDIT: redid the test with HDtune

That's a noticeable change in performance & the HDTune results are good too.

I'll bet you're happy with that,....

Great pic DerMeister ! [:)]  Not an expert on photography or aviation ,but shouldn't that propeller thingy be spinning a bit faster ?

It should be, but we shut it down so its not spinning at all. [:D]

Part of a lesson plan ?

Yep, we only shut them down once in a while for training. But most of the time we just simulate it. Shutting them down is hard on the engine. Its always fun to watch it stop in flight. We were up at 11500' when we shut it down.

OK very interesting and thanks   DerMeister  !

So what would the 'game plan' be if the engine does not want to start again ?

Just land using the other one.

It's a cool picture though.

Return to the airport and land. In that airplane it can thankfully maintain about 9500' with just one engine.

Sometimes easier said then done depending on the airplane and performance. I have flown some twins in the past where if you lost your engine you could maintain about 4000', unfortunately that is about 1000' lower then where we train.

You glide 😛 very nice picture. Certainly an interesting way to test a student.

Having a hell of a time trying to keep up with the tech news over the past two days 😞 I can't imagine what it is going to be like when CES 2012 starts.

Got about 9 inches of snow today even though it was only supposed to be 3-6 inches (it was the deepest 6 inches I have ever seen lol). So 3 hours of shoveling my house and two neighbors + cars out I can go back to relaxing a bit.
