SSDs are very nice. Still expensive, but they are a cheaper way of speeding up your computer a great deal. My rig is getting old but I recently got my hands on an SSD. It runs a bunch load faster. Especially games!

Yeah, they're still good bang for the buck. SSD drive really speeds up your windows noticeably!

Yeah they are sooooo worth it and make sure you go with intel because they are the most reliable and have the lowest chances of wearing down. My buddy just picked up one for editing and playing bf3, i kid you not it runs like a hot knife through butter :D

I think your a bit to sold with INTEl on the SSD side of things most players in the market now can match there performance on an SSD and the memory used on SSD's as well as the controllers are made by some set standards. Yes Intel has there design and some are model and maker specific but the guaranteed main thing you get with an INTEL SSD is a overly high price compared!

I can only reply saying that I wouldn't go back using a mechanical hard drive for my OS partition! It's an HUGE improvement in speeding up your system.....from booting it to other operations! Just look yourself! In my system I got 2 SSD....just look ;)

This is my Plextor M5P 128GB on SATAIII controller ;)

Thanks: 2 times

Yes, SSDs are faster than the best HDDs in RAID too.

It's a trade off between performance and capacity. I like to have both on hand.

Yeah SSD is more faster than HDD but the capacity so far with HDD and the price more expensive.
Just chose what you want the "speed" or "capacity".
