I remember looking at the board the first time and thinking how crazy the cooling was. Now we have all the wacked out heatpipe northbridges it seems so mind.

lol it was man. That board was also considered super pricey $175.

A quick quote from firingsquid

"The one downside to all the additional cooling is the sheer size of the

coolers. The new North Bridge heatsink and OTES duct take up so much

space that removing Intel’s stock Pentium 4 heatsink was an enormous

headache"

Bet they wouldn't complain now adays. lol the sheer size of that northbridge cooler.

Mine was not as pretty but it was still a great board on the AMD side.  I added heatsinks to the chipsets and it was a dream board.

No it's all good. I personally think the ABit boards started taking a dive right around the time they started pushing all the Fata1ty branded stuff. Coincidence, I don't know but 1 of the first boards I got for my first build was an ABit board and I had to send it back. there tech support was no help what so ever. matter a fact I could barely understand the guy. I was shocked because everyone swore they were 1 of the best companies. shortly after that is when you started seeing the complete opposite opinion of them everywhere on the net.

Yeah I was very excited about the Fata1ty branded stuff but it all turned out to be overpriced and not as cool as I had hoped. I do love the color scheme.
