"Natural lighting makes artificial graphics life-like. Computers get faster, but rendering more polygons doesn't add value if lighting looks faked, so insiders know that the next big thing is proper lighting aka Realtime Global Illumination. Typical workloads in realtime rendering will shift. Lightsmark simulates it. Global Illumination renders often take hours. Is your computer fast enough for realtime?"
And who doesn't want to get their proverbial Penumbra shadows on a little bit, on a Saturday night? Just remember to prenumbra in moderation, K? Get it, here.

Pretty neat... my average framerate @ 1680 was 376. It peaked slightly over 500 and dipped to high 90's during the penumbra.
The music was... interesting. [:^)]
I ran this for the first timejust the other day and came up with this for a score.
Neat little program huh... nice average!
Yah, I think the progrm needs to be included in all the review site benchmark sets for video cards, wouldn't hurt being used on CPU's for that matter either really because it does show the performance difference between like clocked Intel and AMD dual cores.
When I first ran this benchmark I thought it was a POS considering the dated graphics but my opinion later changed based on that this benchmark can be used to test a GPU'sperformance as well as how CPU scaling affects your systems performance.
Its a great alternative to 3dmark.
And another good point I like is that it doesn't take forever to complete.........[:|] And I like the music as well.
The music is good, and it's shorter than most, I like it myself, don't have to go online to get the scores evey time yo try a tweak.
Just a little update on my score...............[:O]
Nice shroom wallpaper in the back Bite!
If I remember right that's either from Digital Blasphemy or Visual Paradox.
No screen shots, but with a 7600gt installed in vista I got 44, then I installed an 8800gt and scored 175! huge increase!
If you haven't heard of or checked out Visual Paradox you should give it a look... plenty of freebies there too.
26.6 running everything on the lowest settings possible @ 1156x864...[:'(]...Even with a overclocked x700...rofl...
We all await your numbers from the skulltrail.
