When you pop down to the local or over to a friends what to you drink?

I myself love Guinness on draught but am developing a soft spot for German beers like Warsteiner.

For me it's all about a good beer.  I tend to enjoy Bodingtons, Bass, Yueng Ling, Newcastle, any Sam Adams and Pilsner Urquell.  A nice bottle of Red wine doesn't hurt either ;)

I love me some southern comfort and coke but if I am in a beer mood I prefer Yueng Ling.

I'm all about the girly stuff. :)  Heh...

I never found a beer I've liked.  But if I'm in a pub type place, I'll throw down some Magner's, Woodchuck, or Wood[censored]cider.  At home, the wife and I like to make vodka martinis - Apple, Peach, or Cheescake flavors mostly.

At a bar, SoCo and Lime, Absolute and Cranberry, or a Captain and Coke work.

London Pride is my favourite beer, however Magners with Ice is nice on hot summers days (not that we are having many of those at the mo:().

My mates and I go to a Belgian bar in central London and they do a beer called 'Delerium Nocturnum'. Superb stuff as well but I cant have many as it weighs in at a health 9%[B]

I haven't been interested in liqor much lately... and beer; I've always been able to take or leave.

I do however have a list: [D]in no particular order[D]

st. pauly, heiny, becks, mickeys, asahi, boddington, xx(green), mgd, modelo, sammy (various), bud dry, rolling, grolsch, tecate... basicly nothin that tastes like water and nothin that tastes like motor oil!

long island, jack/coke, grey goose/ice/lemon juice, cosmo, tinis(various), mescal/squirt... the list goes on cuz I'm always willin 2 try new drinx!

Cheers!

Personally I can't really drink spirits. When I do though I get Jäger and Coke/Red Bull.

Americans don't appreciate how lucky they are to have such cheap drink. I was able to pick up a 12 pack for $6!

In Dublin a Jäger and Red Bull would set me back € 8 which is about $11.

Not a fan of booze, I have access to an insane amount but I just cant stand the taste of alcohol(not to mention I am underage). I prefer ice tea or an energy/sports drink such as Rockstar juiced or Accelerade.

It's not always cheap here.  If you go to a dive or corner bar, yes, a couple of buck will get you just about anything you want.  But at upscale places or nice restaurants, we get gouged just like everyone else.

For example, Dave and I went to a lunch meeting two weeks ago in NYC, and while waiting for our contacts to arrive we sat at the bar.  He had a Vodka Martini and I had some Sangria (It was a Cuban place), and the bill was over $20.  Crazy.

What's worse, is my oldest brother owns a liquor store and I see how cheap some of the stuff can be when bought direct from a distrubutor.  That single Vodka Martini have had could have paid for the entire bottle!
