Does anyone know/have a guess at what folds better, a 3Ghz P4 or a Dual 2500+ (modded into MPs)?

I've gotten very interested in dual CPU set-ups recently and the 2500+ just dropped below the $136CDN (~$100USD) mark so..... can anyone guess where I'm going with this?

Each F@H_core only supports a single CPU 'c'os its a single threaded application ... but if you follow the instructions on the F@H site, then you can run 2 copies ( 1 on each CPU ) simultaeneously ... they will both run at full rate .. and will therefore way outperform a 3GHz P4.

And dual XP3200+s would be even better :-)

They need to get an AMD64 build on the scene !

My Athlon machines destroy my P4s when folding...

That sounds good then. Especially since a dual 2500+ set-up would cost ~$250CDN less than a 3Ghz P4 set-up. Now I just need to figure out which dual socket A mobo to get and I'm all set.

Thanks for the replys, and nice to see you active again Bothware. It's been a while.

I like dual amd,
is the means of "folding" that to raise the cpu's frequence??

More since a dual AMD would pretty much equal 2 AMD systems when it comes to folding. Then consider that 1 AMD equals about 0.7 Intels in folding.....
