I have been on the fence about switching from Intel to AMD. Can anyone tell me their opinion on the pros and cons of AMD?

One person's pro is another person's con. I usually just list what I need, what I want, how much I want to spend, and then find the products that fit that range. Do some online research for reviews, specs, and builds with that product and see what I feel comfortable with. Most of the time, a choice will make itself clear.

Thanks for the reply! You are probably right. I'll make a new post more detailed. Never used AMD so I'm curious about it.

planning to get a ryzen system eventually,so i can finaly stream games, as my current toaster cant do much beyond SNES emulation streams. I am more likely to get a 1400 to keep within budget, as i don't really have the means to be building anything higher than that and some other budget parts. however this givewaya would be a chance to not only get a better mobo and CPU, but also skip the horrendus RAM prices going around. its insane how 16 GB of 3200 ram costs almost as much a freaking CPU now.
