I don't think there's anything to change. This machine is just right.

I usually wait to overclock until things start to feel slow, that way I get a free boost before I get the urge to upgrade - I imagine that could take years. But I can still post when it does happen.

If you don't feel comfortable overclocking yourself, but want to, use AMD Overdrive: http://download.amd.com/...aod_setup_4.3.2.0703.exe

I missed this for some reason, but thanks, I'm a stage actor so I know all about fake it till you make it, I'll have to revisit that :)

Just signed up. Will be time for an upgrade soon. I've used MSI products before without issues. Hoping to do that with the next upgrade.

MSI is usually good. :P Haven't seen any complaints from users really about them.

The rig arrived today and I wanted to post some impressions. First, they threw in a copy of windows, which if it was mentioned in the giveaway details, I missed it. Very cool :) I was ready to load up ubuntu solo. Right now I'm trying to set up a dual boot, but ubuntu doesn't want to see Windows and my attempts to download a slightly more recent build have aborted 6 times now, you know how things just don't want to work sometimes.

The case is quite unusual. In addition to being attractive, the dimensions stand out. It's about the height of a mid tower, but almost twice as broad. From the pictures, I thought it might be smaller than it is. There's a top panel that is only magnetically attached that lifts off for speedy access to nearly everything other than the ssd and psu. The front IO panel is perfectly located along the top and includes a microSD and SD slot, 3 USB, audio and buttons. All three fans whisper gently.

The monitor is super bright. Even after I turned brightness down to zero, I was still squinting and wishing I had some sunglasses handy. Turning down the contrast achieved a comfortable viewing level, but it's nice to know it can shine if the need arises. The speakers on the monitor sound tinny by default, I'm also having to use Windows to modify the audio rather than realtek's audio manager. But I love how easily adjustable the height and angle is. It almost glides into position.

Nicest desktop I ever owned by far, and not just in terms of raw power. I rarely ever spend any desktop money on build quality or aesthetics and I even skimp on niceties like built in card readers. This is powerful, beautiful and convenient. Thanks a million HH :D
