I have this Free Win 10 upgrade nag that pops up at least once a week to remind me that the Win 10 upgrade is free and ready to install, I run Win 7 64 Bit and I can't complain much, everyone who I have talked to about Win 10, they advise not to do it, I did test out an incomplete Win 10 build before it was publicly released and it was rather disappointing, so have any of you made the jump or plan on doing it or nahh, and if so what was your reason for doing it, what's your reason for not doing it?

I made the jump, and I like it thus far. The other compelling reason to switch is that support for Win7 will disappear in the coming years. I think you'd enjoy it though. You could always revert back too :P

It's tough to argue with free. Lots of XP users experienced the end of support and XP became toxic and really shouldn't be used online anymore by anyone. There's no antimalware suite in the world that can keep it safe now. Why watch that same thing happen to 7 when 10 is free.

I waited until I upgraded my motherboard to something I felt would last a good long time. I had a retail copy of Windows 7, not an OEM copy, but there were rumblings that the windows 10 upgrade would convert that to an OEM copy that would need a new license when you upgraded the motherboard again. Watch out for that and you'd probably be wise to turn off automatic driver updates right away too. I prefer to apply those when I have time to deal with them breaking stuff not on MS's clock.

Hopefully not, but there were a number of warning signs before my upgrade, and MS was clearly at least unprepared for the question when a number of users pointed out issues to them, so I erred on the side of caution.
