Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games has announced that it is currently working on an update for the FPS game. The incoming update will make some changes that are based on feedback from the player community and will add bug fixes, optimize connectivity, address certain issues, and polish several things ingame.

“Our team has been working hard on improvements to the game,” said Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey in a post on the developer’s website. “We’ve also had our ears to the ground, listening to your feedback. Our commitment to continuing to support the game and community is as strong as ever, and we have the whole team focused on making the experience the best it can be.”

According to Condrey, the update will focus on the following issues:
  •  Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
  •  Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
  •  Fix for weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
  •  Connectivity optimizations.
  •  Fix for stats accumulating towards leaderboards after prestiging.
  •  Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
  •  Fix for round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
  •  Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.

There is also the issue of dedicated servers that, prior to the game’s launch, the developer had promised to support. Condrey had gone on record to say that fans of the game would hear an announcement soon. However, in the same post about the update, Condrey inserted a statement from Activision regarding dedicated servers that states, “Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system. Our goal is to ensure the best possible connection and greatest gameplay experience regardless of location and time of day.”

No date was provided as to when the update will be available for download.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched on November 3 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.

Soooo, same matchmaking the previous version had?

No rent able dedicated servers, no money for you.

Thats right, the user with the lowest net becomes host and therefore has a dominate power. The maps have a lot of rendering to do so that make the first minute of any map lagy.

Dedicated servers are a must for a game like this but they decided to dis the whole world community and not care about future sales and again not include it.

There are already cheaters. only 6 or so maps so it's like a BETA if you ask me. A total waste of money so far. The spawn points are same as usual, you spawn in front of someone to be shot straight away. once you learn the spawn you just camp and shoot.

This is in relation to PC I am not sure about consoles.

Only Plus is the weapons are awesome (excluding the BS laser and rail guns etc). The maps are awesome too.

SLI/Crossfire lags and is buggy.

7.1 causes lag with Logitech software

Hardcore TDM still has spawn timers.

Pre caching maps causes drop outs.

I see none of these issues are getting resolved

Yeah it updated now it runs even worse on a 280x

I haven't picked it up, but I hear AMD cards have been having issues with AW in general

Sense when did AMD cards not have issues? NVIDIA cards smoke AMD cards at Battlefield and that's an AMD title. LOL.

That comment makes no sense. I have 2 7970 Ghz in my main comp and it runs just fine, just so happened nvidia has the stronger gpu. But the game was tailored to work WITH and gpus hence, mantle. We could say the same about some nvidia titles too where the and cards out perform them.
