I'm still wishing that the United States will finally permit US to send these takedown requests.
If you put it on the internet it should show up on the internet. A search engine that produces results based on searches is simply doing it's job.
Sometimes EU cause many problems that makes people confused :/
Google doesn't need a legal reason to inform the publishers. It is part of their transparancy policy and the "Right to be forgotten" law does not disallow it.
Also the regulators in the EU that want stuff removed from the .com domain can suck it. They have no jurisdiction over that since it is the US domain.
Plus this whole law is stupid since there are actually lots of other search engines out there that have no official presense in the EU and will still show up all the results people are trying to get removed. I use DuckDuckGo myself.
right to be forgotten is ridiculous and only serves to hurt google for no good reason.
