They should not be worrying about this. As long as they hire the best person for the job, it shouldn't matter.
Eh, if you've ever worked for a company as a manager and the such, you're always "encouraged" to employ women and minorities in order to meet Good Faith requirements; same with vets. So yeah, as much as you may want the best person for the job, sometimes if there is someone who is maybe a little bit less qualified and they're a woman/minority, you hire them.
