"From all the info I gathered , its looks like you are running a pirated version of BF3. Most likely the beta version that was and is readily available via torrent."

Edit: Full Pirated  Version of BF3 by Reloaded

"Please buy the real the game."

downloading 285.62 drivers  So  clean out and update your Nvidia drivers to latest version and re-install your game

reboot as necessary

Hi. Quick Google search came up with this:

http://tervfect.net/blogs/tag/battlefield-3-appcrash-fix/

It appears to be a common problem from what I've seen. I haven't encountered the problem so I can't help you further, however; other people may be able to help you with this problem you're having.

How can one thread be a confirmation; I did some research and he seems to be really desperate, besides; he stated he downloaded from Steam in other fourms and the people there gave different responses.

And even though it might not be 100%; a news post relating to BF3 on Steam. He even said it took him 3 days to download due to dead servers (in comparison, the torrent you said has more seeds; meaning that it's download somewhat faster then he suggested.) You may be right in the fact that he may of downloaded a torrent but I don't see why he'd have to say if it was Steam when he could easily say it was Origin.

On a related note: I'm sure the HotHardware moderators will condone you putting up sources (the torrent name is all anybody ever really needs) to pirate Battlefield 3, even though it's not intentional. I think you might want to take that down before something really bad happens.

While I might agree with the "dead" servers. No direct to drive place that sells BF3 would not have the bandwidth to game in a matter of a few hrs.... Im with OPT on is one.

Clarification: I was talking about the torrent, not the D2D place... Also if he did download a pirated copy then surely there is a crack that he could use that's included in the release (there are even install instructions included on the damn description to install the crack; so there is no way that any pirated version could produce the error.)

All he did was say he got the game from Steam, even though the game's not offered on Steam; it's not a 100% confirmation that the game is pirated. While it may be pirated, being pirated does not produce the appcrash error; this seems to be a very common error among Battlefield 3 users; even browsing the comments (and a Google search) doesn't mention anything about the exact crash he mentioned, just entirely different problems.

I'm not neglecting the fact he may have a pirated version but evidence suggest otherwise. It's not like DICE baked this problem in to make people buy the legit version of the game.

the error messages in the OP post are the same as a botched install as well the need for the new Nvidia drivers optimized for BF3 .whether the game has been jacked or not we don't know since the OP has not gotten back. Either way today's patch is massive fix to a  lot of problems..Since it has been mentioned here and elsewhere on the net about the validity of the actual install. from STEAM ??? at least stop back and explain .

.it's pretty much a moot point for me when mwvirk has not posted back ....oh well  ...Sorry  Done for me & moving on.
