Good luck to you and all of you out there. The whole point to me posting about it was that it is possible here at Hothardware.com.

I have found no other site that gives away so much, so often. They don't make you jump through hoops, there's no unreasonable rules,...and they manage to keep it lighthearted and fun too. The regular posters are good to know and they KNOW plenty too. It has quickly become my favorite place on the Web.

That is great to know, and a rare thing to find as well in websites nowadays. Thanks for the tip!

Yep, continuing on from what realneil has stated. The folks at HotHardware have been amazing, both with the community involvement, their podcasts and contests. This is my top tech site to visit.

Does anyone remember a couple of years ago when EnterMyMatrix03 won some HotHardware schwag? In a stunning twist of depravity, Enter turned the case badges into nipple pasties and posed shirtless with them.[+o(] Many of us still haven't recovered from that incident. Thankfully, that picture has been removed, but I present you with the 'clean' version.

I have won quite a lot from giveaways and I feel that entering giveaways can make it a bit easier to upgrade to the latest tech and try out gear you wouldn't otherwise have the money to purchase yourself, that's if you win of course [:O]

My rig is mainly compromised of parts from the Futuremark 10 Year Anniversary Contest like my MSI Eclipse MB, MSI 4870, Enermax Revolution PSU, HAF Case and V8 CPU cooler. And my Razer Lachesis Mouse, Razer Destructor Mousemat and my Razer Carcharias Headset were also won from various Razer Giveaways. Of course you can't win it all (well you can with HH [:P] - I won a Powercolor HD4830 Video card from a previous HH contest but I had to sell it to help complete my rig), I had to purchase the i7 920, HDD, Monitor, Patriot Memory, DVD Writer and my Logitech Speakers, but that was practically a very reasonable purchase to complete my rig - who wants some top notch hardware lying around? [:D]

If you stick at it, or even better stick at HH you're sure to win sometime. The best advice I can give is: How can you win if you haven't entered?

Living in New Zealand it is pretty hard for prizes to be shipped to me (let alone costly) so for all the folk who live in the US/Canada embrace the opportunities of living in a country where contests are a plenty [Y]

Oh Jeez. You had to bring that memory back didn't you. Enter made HH history with those pics for sure.

I've finally one something, actually got it in the mail today!! Just won the game H.A.W.X (PC) from the INTEL VISUAL ADRENALINE ISV GAME GIVEAWAY. Now if only I had won that X-25M SSD!

Anyways it's been great hearing from everyone's experiences on their success in giveaways. Although some of you really are winning way to much, what's that your hiding? xD

Yep, I have won several giveaways in the past too. I first started in I think 2005, and I went crazy on joining forums and starting to become part of the community. Eventually it payed off since I won several giveaways. I personally feel that creative giveaways that require you to do something are more fun than just giveaways that require 5 posts, because you can show off your skills, but either way, just so you know, these giveaways are legit, and well worth entering. I won a system here over a year ago. I still use it as our main HTPC. Thanks HotHardware once again!
