better way to speed up the internet is to uncap the number of

connections windows xp lets you have 10. with a program you can get

50-unlimited. (just make sure you ahve good internet...  increasing the

limit for dialup wont help :-p )

I remember doing this years ago when I only had a dial up connection. It made a difference then.

Now that I have Win7 and DSL it's no biggie.

I just tried it and I don't notice a difference.  On Win7 ultimate x64 that is.  I wasn't able to benchmark it because i got an ip error in Sandra.  You can try it, but I doubt you'll see a huge difference, if any at all.

I went and manually disabled MANY services with noticable results lol

I've got a handful of registry tweaks i've been meaning to test out and post up too. Just haven't had the time!
