Hey guys I'm looking for some recommendations on a decent gaming laptop I'm plan on starting school soon and want something I can also game on when. I'm not doing work. I currently have a busted up Lenovo ideapad with intel he 4000 graphics with a charging port about to come off it's doesn't have much longer 😞 I'm looking for a sub $1000 laptop, the most bang for my buck. Suggestions?

Lenovo generally has good stuff. Surf their site for a bit to see if anything fits your parameters 😛

I'll take a look. I'm trying to save up to get something 800-1000 range as of now I'm leaning towards the dell 7000 series or a msi. But I have a few months before I can afford one as I'm donating plasma as a way to make extra $$$ to get one for my needs so I have time to wait unfortunately. Maybe there will be some price drops too!!! Thanks for the recommendation I honestly was giving Lenovo much thought as of the moment.

Have you given any thought to making it two separate purchases? Perhaps you could buy a cheaper laptop for school work, and then put the rest to a low-end PC or build one yourself. 5-5, 6-4, you could have the best of both worlds. I say this without any knowledge of what you need in a school laptop or a PC to game on, so I apologize if I get your hopes up.

One with a decent CPU amoi t of RAM and ssd and hdd space and least a Rx 480 or 1060 and up in my opinion. The do have some and and ryzen based laptops coming out that might be more in your budget. To each his own I like and and intelligent both the used to codevwlop processors back in the day so basically the best bang for your buck that fits in your budget and price range.

The games you plan on playing makes a big difference on how much "game" is in a gaming laptop too.

Lenovo is definitely a good gaming laptop been using my lenovo y510p for 5 years and still running strong but probably gonna upgrade soon though since it is getting a little bit old

I like Lenovo products but their gaming laptops suck. The Asus Rog Strix GL502VS-DS71 would be my first choice but it well out of your budget, as it lists for $1500 form Microsoft, more from other resellers. Than there is the budget Acer Predator Helios 300, it features an Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and the an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, 256GB SSD. That sells for $999 at Amazon. ACER Gaming Laptop

If your still looking, you might want to take a look at the Alienware Alienware AW13R2-8344SLV 13-Inch QHD+ Touchscreen Laptop (6th Generation Intel Core i7-6500U, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M priced well below $1k around $870 more bang for your buck.
