I think it's safe to say with the mixed reality that's in development the next gen headsets will not only be tetherless but will far surpass what we have now and will consist of both AR and VR what do you guys think?

I'm excited to see what is to come! Stuff like this:

makes me happy for the future. The scary part, however, is walking around without sight with a "high tech blindfold."

Now that's what I'm talking about tetherless yet powerful I see that HTC is working on the their own version and may beat Oculus to the punch! Regardless I think the Vive will be much better, you know the scary part is if people start using mixed reality headsets in public walking on city streets oblivious it's bad enough now when they text, in fact in the online traffic school I'm attending there is a section on texting while driving and walking and there are video on Youtube they show you of people so oblivious they walk into the paths of cars and one actually walked into a fountain in a mall, too funny but scary too!

Have you, or anyone here for that matter, read ready player one? I highly recommend it! It is a book about a VR world, it is AWESOME!
