Congrats! Did you do it in BIOS or use something like AMD Overdrive? Where was stock frequency and how high did you go? Tell us more

Cool. FWIW, Overdrive is a fantastic tool that makes gradually finding your best stable frequencies a lot easier than endless reboots. I've use it for years with no issues.

How did you test for stability? Or were you even going for a stable OC or maybe just tinkering? How high above stock voltage did you have to go to get nearly 1ghz boost? Do you use any kind of aftermarket cooling or stock fan?

Can't remember my first couple, but I had a athlon x2 3600 manchester probably a decade ago. I think that was my first dual core. I had a athlon x2 7750 BE in my first from scratch build that I overclocked at times and during the summer underclocked and undervolted to deal with heat using AMD Overdrive. Right now I have an A8-7600 that I basically run at stock, though it does have two built in modes, a 65w and 45w mode, and I may well run it in 45w mode when the summer heat kicks up again.

I have an AMD E-300 1.3GHz Dual Core, can't overclock but it holds its own in Minecraft... can't overclock it tho 😛
