what exactly do you mean by solid division specs?

if you are building a gaming machine. and i5 will suffice. but if you game, stream or render videos go for i7. as for the gpu, are you a casual gamer? do you only play less demanding games? i would not recommend the 4gb 960. you wont see any noticeable difference between the 2gb and 4gb version. i think nvidia made the 4gb version to go against the R9 380 which has wider bit and has 4gb versions too.

Personally, I'd go with the i7, and the video card, you should do some research on. The specs required to play The Division aren't out 😛

Follow this link for requirements:

If you are building a gaming system go with the i5. If you get the i7 you will get an extra 1 or 2 fps.

As for the GPU, if you ever plan on playing any game at 4k res, you will need 4GB of vram. I would recommend the GTX970. It will play current games with max setting at 1080p, and you can add a second one later if you plan on playing at 4k with max settings.

When was that released?

Lol... how do you guys not know about this game? And you call yourself gamers! Tisk tisk.

It has not come out yet. It is set to come out in March 2016 and the system requirements could change before launch.

I mean the specs needed for the game. 😛

Yeah, that is why I suggested getting an i7, useful for later to as well as the game 😛

I still wouldn't recommend the i7. The CPU is very minor in gaming. Save the extra $100-200 you would spend on the cpu and invest it into the gpu and you will see a greater improvement in performance.

The i7 though would more than likely allow him to record and encode/edit gameplay of his 😛 I like flexibility 😛

For that he needs lots of RAM. For encoding, the i7 will save him a few seconds... not worth the extra price of admission.

Like Ibsaid, I like flexibility :P

i5 is flexible too to an extent. i believe the thread starter main concern is gaming so the i5 will be best and spend the extra money for a good gpu and he will be a happy camper

I guess, we don't really know his intents though 😛
