reinstalled mm2 and it is now playable @1600x1200, but still prefer 1280x1024...also midtown madness is smooth and fast @ 1600x1200...this is something i have never seen before...even the geforce ddr sucks on this game after 800x600...there is also no texture prob as there was w/ geforce cards...episode 1 racer is another story...seems like no matter what res i play it out, it is very slow and choppy...might be a compatibility issue not sure yet, but i have to voodoo 2's in sli to take care of that game for me...half life is fast and smooth in open gl...in direct 3d it is just as fast, but there are some texture problems...the problems are not present in open gl mode..will post more as i experiment further...

new radeon drivers for win98 @ were released today and I'll be damned... they solved the problem w/ episode one racer...no longer need the voodoo 2's to play it...thank god...those things get hot...regardless, new drivers fixed the problem...they are also suppose to fix a bug w/ one of the athlon chipsets...

new drivers are @ www.3dchipset.com

they work real good...
ut...1600x1200x32 was getting around 59fps
q3 frankie demo...1600x1200 was 49.1fps
demo 1...42.4 and demo 2...45.3
also did nv15 demos for ha has...28.0 fps...pretty good considering it was made for geforce2's...all q3 results were 32 bit color @ 1600x1200...

Damn, those are amazing numbers!!

Hey Crash, i need to ask you something very important. It's 8 PM central time right now, so let me know what time you can meet me at Pickle's if you see this?

Just one very big-very important question, but i need live feedback, so we can use the live chat over there again.

I will check back every few minutes to see if you get this message bro!

also, anyone that gets the the radeon's ark demo on the installation disk needs to check it out...i just found it...didn't realize it was on there...there is a demo then you can see 3 different views at once to show the different layers it can do to any given texture...

He crash, wat sort of system are you using the Radeon on? I just ordered a celemine 566 in order to prepare for the Radeon which of course isn't available in Holland yet...

cranked the card on another game:
heavy metal fakk2 runs @ 1600x1200x32, trilinear filter and everything maxed, but actually gets a little choppy @ times...This one is better suited for 1280x1024, which is still amaxing to me...again, w/ everything cranked including full shadow, max curve and model details...1600x1200x32 is smooth if the options are backed down, but i prefer all maxed 1280x1024x32...
