I've typically just ran 2 or 3 case fans and haven't really played with liquid cooling as much as I'd like to have. Any suggestions as to what I should get if I go that route? There are a ton of options, and they are mostly great deals without having to break the bank, I'm just not sure which are reliable and which aren't. Thanks in advance.

Liquid cooling can be a mess and a screw up if done wrong.

The only liquid cooling I've delt with was for my dad when I built his PC on Cyberpower. 3 years later and it still runs smoothly as far as the liquid cooling component goes. He's changed up his gfx card, RAM, HDD, but the liquid cooling is still intact. I just can't remember which brand he has, but I'm sure now 3 years later there are a ton of new options.

I've never done any custom water cooling but the All-in-One systems work well and are much, much easier to install over a custom system if your case will support them. Corsair makes some nice ones and you can find tons of reviews online if you're interested in buying one.

Liquid can s[censored] and ruin your PC, just be wary of what you do. The censored words is S-P-I-L-L. And why is my description Hashtags? xD

While that is true it's not very common. Faults from other hardware failures are probably way more common as is people s[censored]ing liquid onto the PC. I see that a lot more than a report of a AIO system failing.

So then what would be a better option? Just ensure I have proper air flow in my chassis as well as enough case fans?

If you can do it well and right, Liquid. If this is your first build and can't use YouTube, use fans.
