We are aware that the graphics performance of Assassin’s Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations. This should not affect the vast majority of PC players, but rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available.
Ubisoft is such a joke. They blame everyone else but themselves...
Quote: "Note: Just to be clear, the GameWorks features in Assassin's Crude Unity have no impact on stability, pro or con. "
Was that intentional?! LOL
Methinks, yes. 😃 but Joel will have to confirm.
Wow. Ubish*t piling it on instead of just admitting/ fixing the problem. I don't see how they think that this is going to help them. Most serious gamers follow sites like this, and won't be fooled by such BS.
It's so stupid that AMD is getting the blame here when the exact same issues happen on NVIDIA. I started a game on launch day and it crashed when I set my resolution, and not long into the game, an NPC fell through the road. Then we have the low texture issues. As others have said, Ubisoft is pointing the blame on anyone but itself, and it's of course not going to talk about NVIDIA given that relationship.
I get the politics of it. I really do. But in this case, painting AMD as the problem, even by omission, will only serve to confuse things further. If I was a GeForce user and I went to the official forums and only saw AMD's problems acknowledged, I'd be asking when Ubisoft was going to pay attention to Nvidia.
In this case, prompt and full communication is the #1 way to resolve the issues.
"There are multiple problems with this assessment. First, there's no
equivalent Nvidia-centric post on the main forum, and no mention of the
fact that if you own an Nvidia card of any vintage but a GTX 970 or 980, you're going to see less-than ideal performance."
I have the following specs
i7 4790K 4.4GHz
16GB RAM 2133 MHz
Runs on Ultra with ZERO issues.
You're one of the lucky ones, Michael. Tons of complaints coming from all directions on this game.
Yeah, and those are stout specs that most folks don't have, including that Devil's Canyon CPU that keeps up with the draw calls.
Total Biscuit had performance issues on his rig and I think he's running a dual 980/Intel setup.
Let's not play Assassins Creed: Unity yet:
Kilian 😃 das passiert bei Unity mit AMD karten :D
You lost me as customer now.
Ubisoft needs to pony up and take responsibility for their short comings instead of blaming others. By wagging their finger at AMD its easy ignore reality that they need to patch their software. News: 'On Wednesday, shares in Ubisoft fell 8.3 percent as investors begin to lose faith in the publisher's capacity to deliver complete games on launch day'...
Hopefully they'll figure out the real issues and deliver.
yeah, because it runs so nice on intel/nvidia hardware
