I love trying to get old hardware to do things it was never meant to do.  I got an old P4 Northwoods 2.4GHz chip over 4GHz with a TEC/water cooling bench setup before the board quit on me, I was going for the HWBOT.org record for that CPU but fell short.  I run an old Phenom 2/280x as my main system and I have a Phenom 9850/6950 system in the garage with a mild overclock on the CPU and GPU...someday I'll upgrade the main rig to an FX 8 core and send the Phenom 2 to the garage.

I had my last CPU (and E8500) oc'd to 3.8 (max I could get it stable on the air cooler i had).. currently have the 5670k @ 4.0 (mild.. i know)  - I never had much success previous to my last system. Probably because I was afraid I would ruin it. That was before I really understood anything about it lol.

P4 @ 4 is awesome lol

My overclocking habit goes back to the old Pentiums and the AMD K5...moving jumpers around to bump the bus speed and multiplier, good times.  I do wish I could have gotten that P4 to do more than POST at that speed.  I think it could have been stable enough to get a CPU-Z validation but like I said the board gave up on me.  I was working that Corsair RAM for all it was worth too lol
