OCZ is launching a brand-new series of solid state drives today, targeted squarely at budget-conscious, mainstream consumers. The new ARC 100 series doesn’t stray far from its roots, however. The ARC 100 features the very same OCZ Barefoot 3 M10 as the higher-end Vertex 460, but these new drives feature more affordable Toshiba A19nm NAND flash memory. The ARC 100 also ships without any sort of accessory bundle, to further bring costs down. We’ve got a 240GB OCZ ARC 100 in-house and have put it through an array of benchmarks, versus a number of other popular solid state drives...
OCZ ARC 100 240GB Solid State Drive Review
I love SSD's. I can't even use a HDD in my system anymore, as it feels like a bottleneck. Pretty awesome SSD aimed at the budgeted consumer. Great review!
I've wanted an SSD for a long time. I'm definitely going to have to put one in my new system, maybe even this one.
Sounds great! There are so many choices, and it will speed up your system significantly. Especially if you save your OS on your SSD. ;)
I want to add another - they are unreal!
We should start a fan club. xD I have an Intel 240gb SSD and a samsung 256gb SSD. I just can't stand using HDD's. Of course it is less space for more money, but you'll change your mind when you see the speed. :P
I think this might be the drive that finally gets me to switch. At ~ $120 it's large enough, and cheap enough.
Go for it man. such a big difference in performance!
