Nomatter what version Realtek AC'97 drivers I install up to two weeks they just drop-sometimes they come back sometimes they gone!

What can be the problem?

I would get the drivers from the MoBo maker, but you could have done that already.

Yes I did-from my mobo disk and other new versions!

Get a sound card and disable onboard sound. Onboard sound is dodgy. I wouldn't trust it as far as i could kick it. My mobo came with it, and it didn't even work. If it keeps doing that you could probably get your motherboard replaced under warranty.

I use it on my shuttle ak31a and it works without flaw. AC97 is as good as a sound blaster live .

Yes AC'97 is perfect even with my 2chanel onboard one But drivers just drop somewhere?Some of the options on the driver just gone and after they came back-thats the reason I have no sound some times

what mother board? I had alot of problems after updating some drivers so I just use the origional ones that came on the cd with my mobo.

GigaByte 7VTXE(KT266A)-I tried even the original ones but same problem!
