If your discerning gamer eyeballs aren’t satisfied with current hi-res display options, MSI has a little something for you in the form of a 3K screen on its latest gaming notebook. The MSI GT60 2OD-261US boasts an anti-reflective 15.6-inch panel with a 2880x1620 resolution.

The notebook also features an Intel Core i7-4700MQ (Haswell) chip, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M GPU, Killer DoubleShot wireless tech, and Dynaudio Premium speakers with a subwoofer. For storage, there’s a 128GB SSD paired with a 1TB HDD, and MSI dropped in 16GB of DDR3L-1600MHz memory, a Blu-ray reader, and a hearty stash of USB ports.

Along with the GT60 2OD-261US, MSI is launching the GT60 2OKWS-278US workstation notebook, which has essentially the same features as the gaming notebook save for a different GPU (an NVIDIA Quadro K3100M) and a Blu-ray burner.

What a beast of a system!

Pardon my ignorance but is the mobile version of that videocard capable of running games at 3k resolution? Will some settings have to be turned down/off? And They really should make the primary SSD 256gb instead of 128, both gaming and workstation systems have some massive installs that would eat up that 128gb very fast and you wouldn't want to install anything on the 1tb storage drive as that would defeat the purpose of paying this much for speed, because speed it definitely haz!
