I'm still trying to upgrade past a 22" 1080p monitor, can't imagine using one of these babies, HH plan on getting one of these once they come out?

Well I for one would be very jealous if yall do in fact get one. 

i Guess since im such a mobile lover im actually thinking about HTC and hope they can up their ultra pixel at least to 8 or 6mp because as these start to become more affordable and common then the argument that 4 pixels resolution is more than enough for majority of todays monitors will soon be a thing of the past. While this is extremely impressive and progressive theres still the argument( for the moment of course) that theres not enough 4k content to really take advantage of this. Although i look forward to watching cat videos on youtube in 4k resolution

You can make the arguement of not enough content but just like every other medium (blu-ray, ect) it will come when the technology world is ready and with multiple vendors trying to break out in the 4K scene its just a matter of time before everyone will put out 4K quality stuff (movies, tv shows, videos, ect) to make these monitors and TVs the norm. 

My 24" UltraSharp monitor is getting a bit long in the tooth. I would love to replace it with one of these beasts. I bet this thing will cost an arm and a leg, though.

Drool-worthy indeed ! But why, o why are these monitors only available in 16:9 format ? Think how great it would be to have a 32" monitor with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels !...

This looks real nice, the ultrasharp series was always an impressive one once you dialed it all in correctly.

I have never seen 4K content as of yet, from what I understand its like seeing HD for the first time all over again. I am willing to bet 2-3500K for this when its finally released.

I bet that probably is the next step honestly. I'd bet they are in development but considering the pricetag on a 4K monitor I bet they are waiting.

I certainly do hope you're right, Clixxer, but I doubt it given that it's very difficult - at least here in Sweden - to find a 27" monitor in a 16:10 format. I've been wanting for quite some time to replace my old HP LP2465 (withoug any good reason, as it works perfectly and which has served me very well), but everything I've looked at has had a 16:9 format....

PS : The other thing that has to be taken into consideration here is what one's graphics card can handle - I've just dropped an Gigabyte GTX GeForce 660 into my box ; while I know it can run a 2560 x 1600 monitor, I not certain it would have the oomph to drive a 3840 x 2400/2160 screen....

I don't think it would be difficult man, just see companies holding them back till later on to say they got the next best thing above current 4K ect ect. 

That odd man you are looking for a 16:10. I know alot of people only want a 16:9 monitor and I know they are common place. My current dell I have is 16:10 and I love it so I understand why you want one. 

As for if your 660 could handle those resolutions, that is a good question. I can't answer that but i'm sure someone who has done benchmarks could. I have always had AMD cards and currently have a 7850 2 GB card and would think that would be hard pressed to be able to hit that resolution. To reliably operate at those resolutions I would think you would need a 670 or equivalent and above to run true 4K resolutions. A quick search on google and all I see are benchmarks for using a 680 or 7970 to run 4K.
