well good for amazon not letting this get them down yet pushing ahead full steam. theres a lot of stuff they are doing here and hopefully it pays off. Amazon has gotten some heat for its prices sometimes but its still usually very cheap compared to stores. Oh and they are opening a distribution center in schertz/san antonio area. I wonder if they treat their employees good? Maybe nice discount on items on amazon???
Yeah Amazon is what companies should be. While their net profit may not as big as others when you think to buy something usually Amazon is the first place I go since they literally have everything. Their is a reason they are 3rd of the top 150 companies only trailing Disney and Intel.
Also ajm if you did not know that is one of 3 warehouses they will be opening up in Texas. It was the big reason we had to start paying sales tax on items sold and shipped by Amazon but hey they are about to put alot of people to work and as far as I know they are pretty good to their employees.
cool well thanks for the info. i didnt realize they were making more but the one i referred would literally be minutes away from me which is going to be awesome. Its good to know they treat their employees good. Otherwise it wouldnt be worth it to work there
Yeah man, Amazon is making a big push into Texas which I think is great. I don't mind paying the sales tax for things since for computer parts I still typically order from Newegg unless Amazon just has them beat or close with sales tax included since I got access to an Amazon Prime account.
I will say one thing though. My Asus Sabertooth X58 board I currently have I bought from Amazon and when it had issues I contacted Amazon and they were very pleasant and nice about getting mine replaced. I ended having to do the RMA though Asus but Amazon helped a lot getting me emails and phone numbers to contact then so it went smooth.
Reading the horror stories of people working in one of their warehouses, I am not sure I want them to succeed.
