Were you hoping to avoid the Valentine’s Day schlock by visiting your favorite tech site? Too bad. We’re romantics over here, and here’s a saccharine V-Day app for you and yours: the Re:Beat app by Rebtel, which lets you record your heartbeat using your mobile device and send it to that special someone.

The free app is available for iOS and Android, and it’s simple to use. The app will prompt you to either place your index finger over your device’s camera to record your pulse or manually tap in your heartbeat.

rebeat app

After you capture or enter your BPM, you enter your name, choose a generic greeting, and send it to your loved one via SMS, email, Twitter, or Facebook. And then, w[censored]ver you send it to will presumably fall in love (or deeper in love) with you.

I just tried it out, it's pretty silly but cute.

"App Let’s You Share"

Let is you share? Let owns you (and who is let, then?)? Please clarify.
