You guys may think I'm crazy... but I seriously like the iPhone 4S design better. The full glass back panel and the contrast of the silver bumper on the black chassis were the two things that made me love the way the iPhone looked. Plus I don't know about you guys but I am NOT a fan of phones becoming lighter and thinner. The iPhone 5 feels like it's empty and the aluminum feels cheap. In comparison the iPhone 5 feels like a toy whereas the iPhone 4S feels like a solid industrial gadget.
The press photos for the iPhone 5 make it look WAY nicer than it does in real life. If you don't believe me go to your local store and see it for yourself. In the photos you have this dream that the aluminum will have the texture and feel of a cold piece of steel or titanium or some other solid metal. But it actually feels like a piece of plastic with black aluminum paint powder coated onto it. It easily scratches off like chalk and people even received them with scratches straight out of the box.
If you ask me, Apple went with cheaper materials in order to make even more profit butt covered it up with nice paint to make it look expensive. Imagine paying $920 for a phone and being one of these lunatics who "urban camped" outside for days just to get the phone and they open it up and there are scratches all over it!! Then they had to wait weeks to get a replacement. I would never buy apple products again.
I wish they kept the same exact design and just made the screen bigger just as they did and added the new CPU and stuff. Then instead of making it thinner, keep the same thickness, and use the extra space to make the battery even bigger than it is. Add more battery life for 4G LTE usage.
