i just recently installed a new processor to my old system. my old system with the new processor is as follows:

1000mhz celeron II 128L2 100fsb socket 370( was 433 at 100fsb)
supermicro 370swd bios ver 1.3
128mb clone in 2 modules
25gb ibm 60gxp 5400rpm
32mb tnt2 pci
40x cdrom

the comptuer boots up and shows that it is a 1000mhz processor. but when it goes in to install windows xp pro it causes a random error with a file. i have tried it a couple of times and each time it says taht a different file is not there. so i thought that maybe the cd was messed up. so i tried my dads cd of windows xp. still no go. same random error with a file. then i decided it might not like xpPRO. so i tried home. still the same error. when i changed back to my old processor. it would get farther and it would start installing the files. but it got hung up on 2%. and it gave me more errors with files. the strange thing is that i have installed xp with those cds on other computers. do and of you have an idea of why it is not working. thanks.
