So I heard that there will be a HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition. Supports up  to 6 monitors on one card via display port.

That's ridiculous. Of course, I honestly don't see a dying need to have multiple monitors for gaming in the first place, unless it was an RTS or something. I'd use it for video and audio editing. One monitor for a full res preview window, the other for the video and audio tracks, effects panels...etc...

Still, really? lol.

I wouldn't do it for gaming. Especially since the line in the middle will be very distracting because your aiming cursor is right around there, if not on it. I think it would be good to use in a setting were many monitors are required. Like a big booth at a trade show, not necessarily side by side. I think that is what AMD did.

6 monitors that is bit much, im kind of old fashion and like my single monitor for an enjoyable gaming experience

the only need you would need this for is multitasking, im happy with dual screens, one to have chats open the other for gaming 😃. (i only got dual screens because my sisters comp burned... and she decided to get a laptop instead 😃 lol)
