Just stumbled across this:  Intel cancels Larrabee consumer graphics chp.  :(

“Larrabee silicon and software development are behind where we had

hoped to be at this point in the project,” said Nick Knuppfler, a

spokesman for Intel in Santa Clara, Calif. “Larrabee will not be a

consumer product.”

This is probably due to Intel trying to settle its recent legal disputes. Plus the fact that the die was stupid huge (aka would have been prohibitively expensive).

I'm not sure it's canceled...

"The cancellation ended up just being a postponement of the hardware side and a continuation of the software, due to apparent delays in the product development."

aka we are Intel, so we never really cancel anything that could make us money in the future.

True and in this case they realize they've got the market cornered for the near future. Sandy bridge has been pushed back to 2011 it seems.
