Let's say I have a 1TB 7200RPM SATA II drive connected internally inside my computer case. I also have another same brand and model 1TB 7200RPM SATA II connected to my hard drive docking station via eSATA cable. Then, I have another connection to a G-Tech external hard drive via eSATA cable. So my question is, are they running at the same speed if mainly what I do is video editing? If not, which one runs faster or better performance?

If you're connected through eSATA, all of the drives should perform the same.

Many thanks for the response. That's what I thought but for some reason G-Tech external drive is so expensive and some people swear it is among the best external drives. My thought was, if all of these internal and external drives uses the same SATA II connection and from similar brand and speed, there isn't much difference in speed.
