LOL , If you were getting that system why would you get suck a slow CD-RW and DVD drive with a 1GHz computer.

Recycle - I have excuses! These components have been carefully thought through.

The slow CdRw is due to the fact that I dont want to have to get a Scsi card other than the Lvd one. This is a multi-award winning drive that has an absolutly brilliant software package with it, and anyway - if I got the new Plexwriter 12x writer I would have to pay a fortune for 12x compatible media. You can buy anything up to 6x media for as little as 99p.

The slow DVD is there for one reason - no region encoding!!

Cant wait till I get the system....

isn't going to come out until around november
and 1 GHz Athlon is loud and very hot, a 800MHz should be enough, this system will cost you very much, and You should better get the new Thunderbirds, or the Willamete.
