Hi,

I have a Wireless USB Adapter (802.11G) which I am using to network one of four machines in my office.

One machine in particular seems to lose connection to the net. If I go into "Network Connections" from the Control Panel
the adapters shows as disconnected. The problem is resolved usually by disabling and then enabling the adapter or
by unseating and then re-seating the adapter from its physical base unit.

Is it possible that the USB port is going into some kind of power saving mode, if so can I switch this off to avoid
this annoyance?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob.

Thanks for the reply.

I found an option to disable power saving for the USB hub under the device list in:

control panel > system properties > hardware > device manager

I'll give this a try, if this does not solve the problem I will try the general system power saving options.

Thanks!

Rob.
